Judith Jáuregui at the Piano Week of Saint-Étienne

Judith Jáuregui will meet the French public in the context of the Piano Week organized by the Ópera of Saint-Etienne, which is composed of a series of recitals offered by the new names of the international piano that are already regulars on the European concert venue circuit. She will do this with a repertoire that brings to light the full range of possibilities of the instrument, with a selection of the works that were key amongst the pianist’s initial musical references.

According to the Thèâtre Copeau de la Ópera, the recital will be “an invitation to a journey between the mystery and sense of rhythm of Granados, the poetry and romantic temperament of Chopin, the exotic and delicate universe of Debussy”.

Furthermore, the public will also be able to enjoy “the company of Mompou, who from nostalgia and introspection takes us back to the purity and innocence of childhood, and of Szymanowski’s invitation to spirituality, before reaching the climax of mystic, virtuous and intellectual ecstasy of Scriabin”.

Judith Jáuregui will return to France on February 17th to play at the Festival du Piano de Toulon, and again on March 18th, when she will be playing a piano recital with works by Haydn, Liszt and Chopin in Grenoble within the musical programme “Musée en musique” organized by the city. Between these dates, she will be at the Festival Musika-Música in Bilbao, where she will be playing several chamber music concerts together with the French clarinetist Paul Meyer, the Spanish violinist Lina Tur Bonet and the Franco-Swiss cellist Nadège Rochat. A few weeks later, she is expected at the Auditorio ADDA in Alicante together with the Symphonic Orchestra of Murcia conducted by Virginia Martínez, and at a recital at Schloss Elmau in Bavaria, Germany.
